We aren't really disagreeing about the main points but I find it boring that after every major tragedy there are conspiracy theorists spouting bollocks. That in itself generates doubt for no good reason.

It may have been Putin killing his own people so that he has a reason to tighten security except for one major problem the conspiracy theorists forget.

Putin doesn't need to do anything other than tell his people that he is tightening security because there is a terror threat...

That's why it is indicative of a warped mind to see it all as a Putin inspired attack on his own people!

Willtell - I have already said that I do not think that this case is a false flag, all I am saying, is that it could be, that's all. We have no evidence that it was and equally none that it wasn't.

In a false flag operation, those undertaking it will have gone to great lengths to ensure it is covered up, so unless it is questioned, they would never be uncovered and that means that the world's populace become compliant lambs.

Inquisitive minds do not need to be "warped", if that was the case no miscarriage of justice would ever be overturned!

Exactly. That's all the justification a conspiracy theorist needs.

The most obvious answer is that another young Muslim committed a terror attack on innocent people. I'm not saying that the official reason is correct but why are you looking for it to be anything else without any justification?

There's also a difference between liberal democracy and kleptocracy - "a whole new level" as Trump put it yesterday.

Anyway, expect large rallies in Moscow in support of "Mother Russia" this weekend.

I actually make SB right here. You'd have to be pretty thick to think that politicians are always 100% honest really wouldn't you.

There's a big difference between swallowing everything whole, healthy scepticism, and just assuming everything to be a lie.

Suspicious mind when shocking global events take place? Guilty as charged, but only as a result of history.

It just amazes me that so many are so instantly dismissive of skulduggery being possible, that's the extent of my point on this thread, no more or less!

As indicated by events in Syria yesterday, Putin's mates rule by terror. Hardly surprising really therefore that people in his own country and those neighbouring it take a very long view on his administration's interpretation of what public order is, especially following a terror attack on the St. Petersburg metro.

I don't see anything controversial here.

Given the known, accepted history of the world where there have been so many "false flag" attacks, I think an intelligent mind is left open as these events unfold rather than immediately assume that what the news corps are telling us is 100% the truth.

For what it is worth in this case, I would think this is as it looks, but to dismiss out of hand an alternative agenda, well some might say would be a little unhinged!!
